Creu Cymru’s longest serving team member, Yvonne O’Donovan will be retiring from her role as Administrator in April.
Yvonne has worked for Creu Cymru from the beginning, joining in 2001, and at that time it was a job share Administrator post. Her role at Creu Cymru is to be the main contact for all the members, organise meetings, Go & See visits, general administration and supporting the team (to name but a few things!).
Reflecting on her time at Creu Cymru Yvonne said, “After 25 years of working for Creu Cymru I have reached retirement age! Throughout those years I have worked under 4 different Directors, Richard Hogger, Deborah Keyser, Nick Banwell and Louise-Miles Payne. I have made many friends and met some totally inspiring people that work in our membership venues. I will be sad to leave, but feel that now is the right time to do so and let someone else take over the reins and work with the incredible team at Creu Cymru and all our wonderful members. I am looking forward to being able to spend more time travelling to Canada to see our children and their partners and grandchildren, Phillipa & Paddy, Ciaran & Holly and our grandchildren Eira and Taran. Also being able to go for long walks with my husband Luciano and our 2 blacks labs, Ellie and Fiadh."
Louise Miles-Payne, Director of Creu Cymru said, “Yvonne has been at the heart of Creu Cymru since the very beginning. Her commitment, warmth, and dedication have shaped the way we support our members and work as a team. From organising countless meetings and Go & See visits to being the first point of contact for our network, Yvonne’s contribution has been immeasurable. We’ll have many opportunities to celebrate her contributions in the months ahead, so do keep an eye out. We are deeply grateful for everything she has given to Creu Cymru over the past 25 years, and although we will miss her enormously, we wish her every happiness as she begins this next chapter”.
