Course description
A 2 hour workshop which is part of our popular "Boost" series. Self care is often misunderstood as luxurious treats for ourselves, but this workshop explores how daily self care that can positively impact our mental and physical health begins much smaller.

Understanding Self Care
Self Care is not selfish
Overcoming guilt
The 8 fundamentals of self care:
Sleep
Nutrition
Hydration
Breathing
Movement
Relationships
Stillness
Connection
Outcomes
By the end of this session, delegates will:
- Recognise why daily self care is essential
- Be able to overcome guilt when engaging in self care
- Know science backed ways in which taking care of the 8 fundamentals can improve their health
Who is it aimed at?
The course is open to all staff working in Creu Cymru member organisations, freelance members and those working in the creative industries in Wales who aren’t Creu Cymru members.
Cost
Creu Cymru understand the importance of wellbeing and supporting staff that work in the sector. We are covering the cost of this training and are able to offer for free for members and only £10 non-members (£20 if you to all three wellbeing boost session).
